A Founding Steward gift is a contribution to Global Hands, Inc. It funds shared security, vocabulary, Conrad, and the community registry. Every laboratory, including stewards, still pays annual hosting and maintenance. A 501(c)(3) cannot give away cloud and staff time it still has to buy.

What the gift funds, and what you still pay.
Global Hands can accept a gift. It cannot promise perpetual Snowflake, backups, AI inference, or a support engineer from a one-time check.
What the gift funds
Shared platform work: security updates, vocabulary and registry maintenance, Conrad, and the public-good program that keeps Salus free to license. The gift is restricted to that shared work. It is not a credit against your lab's invoice.
What every lab still pays
Annual hosting from $15,000, assessed each quarter against actual cloud cost and specimen volume, plus $7,500 per year for maintenance and support. Stewards pay the same operating lines as every other qualified laboratory. Bring-your-own Snowflake is available; maintenance still applies.
Implementation, migration, and custom work are separate, through Professional Service Blocks.
If you want to help the network, we want the gift. If you want to prepay operations, use a grant-cycle term.
One-year and three-year prepaid hosting plus maintenance are on the Access Program page. Those match ELC and PHIG cycles. They are not lifetime, and unused cloud above the floor is still trued up.
