Interpretation
SNOMED organism when isolated. 'No pathogen isolated' is a coded result, not a blank.
Reflex / referral
AST and public-health isolate submission on Salmonella, Shigella, STEC, Listeria, Vibrio as required.
Quality control
Media QC, organism ID checks, and PT for the organisms you report.
Reportability
Most enteric pathogens on the culture plate are reportable. Follow the state list.
